Brothers, all who are interested in being on the Service Corps at the Exporee with the OA and Venturing need to sign up by Thursday, April 23, 2015. The registration sheet is attached. This is an excellent opportunity to give some cheerful service.
The service corps fee is $20.00 and includes food, a service corps t-shirt, a service corps patch and any other items the exporee itself chooses to throw in. The service corps will be camping in the staff area, especially if your unit is not on site.
I would point out to our youth members especially, that if you are a SPL or PL or other such person who is needed by your unit at the exporee that your first obligation is to your unit. All brothers who are not essential to their units, or if your unit has chosen not to attend the exporee would be very welcome on the service corps. The service corps is limited to no more than 50 people and are being taken on a first come basis.
Also, if you are not attending Dixie and would like to provide some much needed help to the exporee, Mr. Terry Rogers, OA Brother and the Exporee Facilities chairman could really use some help preparing the exporee site (laying out campsites, etc) on Saturday, April 25, 2015. He could use about 10 people if possible. If you can help, meet Mr. Rogers at SC TAC (formerly known as Donaldson Center) at 9:00 am on Saturday , April 25, 2015. Mr. Rogers can be reached at tlrogers27@hotmail.com or at 864-423-4505. It would help him if he knows you are coming to help.
